Actress Karla Souza is a mother of three! The How To Get Away with Murder star has announced the birth of her third baby with her husband Marshall Trenkmann. “We’re beyond grateful and bursting with love.”
To announce the news, the actress shared a picture of herself holding her newborn, who was smiling, on her chest, along with other images from her time at the hospital. Karla and Marshall have welcomed a baby girl and chose to name her Giulia. The Home Economics star detailed her daughter’s arrival into the world sharing, “After a marathon 33 hours of labor that stopped and started more times than a film production during Covid, we are overjoyed to announce the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Giulia! 🌸 Yes, you read that right – 33 hours. The plot twist? The doctor and the epidural didn’t make it in time!” Karla and Marshall, who have been married since 2014, share two other children together. The couple welcomed their first baby, a daughter named Gianna, in April 2018. Their son Luka was born in June 2020.
In the caption of her post, Karla went on to express her gratitude to her birthing team as well as her husband. “A huge shoutout to my incredible doctor, Shamsah, who has not only been a guardian angel for my vagina but also navigated me through three pregnancies with grace and care. You’re my shero! Massive love to my doula, Talitha, the real MVP, who ensured our journey was filled with strength, courage, and the most awesome worship playlists. Without you, Talitha, we might still be in labor! Last but definitely not least, to my rock, my husband, who stood by my side for those endless 33 hours, providing unwavering support and holding my leg up – this time, with even more enthusiasm. Marshall look what God has gifted us! ‘Wonderful are your works’.”
Karla’s former HTGAWM co-stars took to the actress’s post to wish her congratulations on her new arrival. Actress Viola Davis gushed in her comment, “Aaaaaahhh!!!! Congratulations my beautiful Karla! Welcome Giulia! You are BLESSED beyond measure! Sending love.” Actress Aja Naomi King wrote, “Just so beautiful.”
