Actress Kate Mara shared a cheeky Instagram post today to reveal exciting family news. Kate and her husband, actor Jamie Bell, are expecting their second child!
The Call Jane star shared an image of herself and her husband walking hand in hand with the caption, “There are three of us in this pic,” hinting at her pregnancy. Reps confirmed the news of the couple’s pregnancy. No due date has been revealed.
Kate and Jamie welcomed their first child together in 2019, a daughter whose name the couple has chosen not to share. The star of A Teacher confirmed the arrival of her first child with an Instagram post of her daughter’s feet and wrote, “We had a baby a couple weeks ago… Here are her feet.” Jamie shares a son with his ex-wife, actress Evan Rachel Wood. The couple welcomed son Jack Matfin Bell in 2013.
Before giving birth to her first child in 2019, the actress opened up about suffering a miscarriage. The loss left her feeling bittersweet when she learned she was pregnant again. She shared at the that that “it was weird, this bitter or sweet sort of … I was so excited, but also sad that we weren’t as excited as we were the first time, because that was clear that it was a very different dynamic.”
The couple, who starred together in the movie Fantastic Four, began dating in the fall of 2015. They became engaged in January of 2017 and tied the knot in July of that same year.
