Michelle and Thomas lead very private lives and neither of them is active on social media. News that the couple’s second child arrived came following photos of the couple. They were spotted in New York City with a newborn baby. No details regarding the couple’s child, including their name, sex, or birth date, have been revealed. The Showing Up star welcomed her first child, a son named Hart, with the Hamilton director in June 2020. Michelle also has a child from her 3-year relationship with the late actor Heath Ledger, a 17-year-old daughter named Matilda.
The Dawson’s Creek alum announced her pregnancy in a feature with Variety. In the article, she discussed growing her family. “It’s totally joyous. As the years go on, you sort of wonder what they might hold for you or not hold for you. It’s exciting to discover that something you want again and again, is available one more time. That good fortune is not lost on me or my family.”
Michelle and Thomas met in 2018 on the set of the FX mini series Fosse/Verdon. At the time, the actress was married to Phil Elverum and in April 2019, it was revealed that the couple had split up at the beginning of the year. By the end of 2019, Michelle and Thomas were revealed to be engaged and expecting their first child together. The couple tied the knot in 2020.
