Actress Rebel Wilson announced surprising news today. She is a mom! The Senior Year star has welcomed her first child via surrogate with her partner Ramona Agruma, a fashion and jewelry designer. “Beyond proud to announce the birth of my first child.”
Rebel and Ramona have welcomed a daughter! The couple chose to name their little one Royce Lillian, with the actress affectionately referring to her as Roycie. “I can’t even describe the love I have for her, she’s a beautiful miracle!” the Pitch Perfect alum gushed in her post before offering thanks to those who helped her start her family. “I am forever grateful to everyone who has been involved, (you know who you are), this has been years in the making…but particularly wanted to thank my gorgeous surrogate who carried her and birthed her with such grace and care. Thank you for helping me start my own family, it’s an amazing gift. The BEST gift!!”
Rebel ended her announcement post by expressing her feelings as a mother. “I am ready to give little Roycie all the love imaginable. I am learning quickly…much respect to all the Mums out there! Proud to be in your club.” In 2020, the actress embarked on a “year of health” that was driven by her dream of becoming a mother. When she visited her doctor in 2019 about harvesting her eggs, she recalled, “He looked me up and down and said, ‘You’d do much better if you were healthier.’ I was taken aback. I thought, ‘Oh God, this guy’s so rude.’ He was right. I was carrying around a lot of excess weight. It’s almost like I didn’t think of my own needs. I thought of a future child’s needs that really inspired me to get healthier.”
The Hustle star first went public with her relationship with Ramona in June of this year, her first public relationship with a member of the same sex. At the time, she shared,” “I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince … but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess 💗🌈💗 #loveislove.” The couple is featured often on Rebel’s social media and they have even launched a capsule clothing collection called R&R Club.
