Actress Rumer Willis, the daughter of actors Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, has announced the arrival of her first child. Rumer and her partner, musician and producer Derek Richard Thomas, revealed they were expecting last December. Now, their little one has arrived! “You are pure magic.”
The couple announced the news in a joint Instagram post that featured an image of their newborn laying on an oversized pillow with a thin blanket covering them. Rumer and Derek welcomed a daughter on April 18, who was delivered in a home birth, and chose to name her Louetta Isley Thomas Willis. “You are more than we ever dreamed of.”
The couple’s post was flooded with comments of congratulations. Rumer’s step-mother Emma Willis, married to actor Bruce Willis, wrote, “Omg we love her so so much.” Actress Hilary Duff, who has had two home births, commented, “Yes mama …. Magical!” One Tree Hill alum Joy Lenz wrote, “Congratulations Sis 🌷 This is the best news. I’m so happy for you.”
The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star was first linked to the musician in early 2022. In celebration of Valentine’s Day this year, Rumer gushed about her other half. “I didn’t know that love could feel like this. I have never been so happy in my life. You make everything more fun and goofy and joyful. You take such good care of my ♥️. Your silliness and laughter is something I am so deeply grateful for and truly what made me fall in love with you. Thank you for being my partner in crime, my confidant, my best friend and always saying yes to adventure and challenging me to be the best version of myself.
