Canadian actress Vanessa Morgan, known for playing the role of Toni Topaz on the hit series Riverdale has announced that she is pregnant with her first child! But that’s not all Vanessa revealed, she also shared the gender of her little one!

Vanessa shared a series of images and videos on Instagram, the first of which was a video where she was shooting off smoke to reveal the gender. It was blue for a baby boy! Her face is filled with joy at the reveal.

In the caption, Vanessa shared that while she had intended on keeping this news private, she did want to be the one to tell her fans. “Was debating keeping this part of my life hidden but I knew people would see pictures eventually with my belly & I wanted you guys to hear it from me. I do want to keep this chapter of my life private but did want to be the first to share the news.” She also shared that her son would be arriving in January.

This exciting news comes just six months after the actress said “I Do” to her husband Michael Kopech, pitcher for the Chicago White Sox. The couple were married in an intimate ceremony in Florida at the Walton Historic House. The couple announced their engagement last July after dating for a year.

Vanessa shared a sweet message to her baby boy to end her announcement. “I can’t believe how much growth & strength you’ve already given me as your mom. It’s like God knew I needed you, my angel. The universe works in mysterious ways but always times everything the way it was meant to be. Lil one you were made with so much love & already exude a light so strong it warms my belly.”

We wish Vanessa lots of love as she prepares to welcome her baby boy and first child.
