Actors Alexa and Carlos PenaVega are adding another baby to their family! The couple, who have starred in seven Hallmark movies together, have announced they are expecting their fourth baby together. “Thank God we love adventures.”
To reveal the news, the couple shared a join Instagram post with a selection of pictures of the two together. Alexa wore a shimmery pink jumpsuit that showed off her growing baby bump. In the second image, the Big Time Rush star placed a hand on his wife’s bump, grinned excitedly at the camera, and held up the number four on his hands.
The Spy Kids star shares three children with Carlos: two boys and one girl. The couple welcomed their first baby in December 2016, son Ocean King. Their second son, Kingston James, came along in June 2019. In 2021, they welcomed their daughter Rio Rey. Shortly after announcing the news, Alexa popped into Instagram Stories as she was shopping at Babylist for her little one. Rio joined along for the trip and when Alexa asked if she was excited about her mom’s pregnancy, she happily exclaimed, “Ya!”
Alexa and Carlos tied the knot in 2014 in Mexico. Following their nuptials, they couple chose to change their last name by merging them together. When promoting their Hallmark film Love at Sea, which came out in 2018, they were on Mario Lopez’s radio show “On With Mario,” the host asked how the name change came about. Carlos explained, “So I’m Dominican and Spanish and Alexa is Columbian. We were at the county getting the license and we happened to do it in Ventura Country,” where he shared they were a bit more lenient with rules and were asked what they wanted their last name to be. Carlos continued, “We stepped back and discussed it with each other because we knew we always wanted it to be PenaVega.” Alexa added, “We just didn’t know how to do it.” Carlos then shared, “We sent the paper over, got it stamped and I shouted, ‘We’re PenaVegas!'”
