Last month, Bachelor nation alums Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon announced they were expecting their second baby together. Now, the couple, who met and fell in love on Bachelor in Paradise, has revealed the sex of their little one. Ashley and Jared learned the news on January 17th during a recent trip to Walt Disney World.
In a video shared to Ashley’s Instagram page, the couple stood on a balcony with their son Dawson, 2. “Very big moment,” Jared shared, “We’re going to find out if the sex of our child.” Ashley, who was holding 3 cupcakes as part of the reveal, admitted, “I’m so nervous.” Jared then asked Ashley is she thought the baby would be a boy or a girl. “I don’t know, I thought it was going to be a boy before I was pregnant and then I got pregnant and I thought it was going to be a girl. And now I think it’s going to be a boy today.” Jared shared that he thought the baby would be a girl.
The couple tried to get their son Dawson to bite into the cupcake for the big reveal. But, in true toddler fashion, he refused. So, the couple took the bites instead to reveal… it’s a boy! Both were surprised to learn the news. “It’s a boy! Are you kidding me?” Ashley, in good nature, exclaimed in the video. Jared joked, “We’re f-cked.”
Last August on her podcast Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous, the reality star discussed how she would feel welcoming another boy into the world after feeling gender disappointment with Dawson. “I’d be happy if we had a boy because then I’d want them to have that, hopefully, brother bond.”
