HGTV stars Ben and Erin Napier have announced the arrival of their second child! The stars of the HGTV series Home Town welcomed baby number two on May 28th. They kept Erin’s pregnancy a secret until last month when they announced the news in an episode of their show.
When the couple announced their pregnancy, they also shared that they were expecting a girl! Ben and Erin have chosen the name Mae for their second daughter, who named after Erin’s Aunt Mae. Mae arrived at 8:23 AM on Friday, May 28th. She weighed 7 lbs. 1 oz. and was 19.5 inches long at birth.
Mae joins the Napier family with an older sister, the couple’s 3-year-old daughter Helen. After her pregnancy news was revealed, Erin posted on Instagram and spoke about her desire to give Helen a sibling. “[Siblings] know and remember and keep the stories of a family alive. We wanted that for Helen. Someone to stand with her when we can’t someday. We are so thankful.”
Ben and Erin were college sweethearts and fame sort of fell into their lap. As newlyweds, the couple decided to fix up their own dream house: a 1925 craftsman cottage in Laurel, Mississippi. They were on a tight budget and had to get thrifty with materials. Erin documented the entire project from the very beginning. Once their renovation was completed, their home was featured by magazines and websites. It caught the eye of an HGTV producer and the rest is history!
