Big Brother alums Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo has announced the name they chose for their first child. Nicole is 34 weeks along in her pregnancy. The couple revealed back in January that they were expecting a baby in July.
The name the couple chose is a family name: Victor Arroyo IV. But, according to Nicole, their son won’t go by this name. He will go by a nickname: Arrow!
Nicole shared that Victor, her husband, was born without a middle name and that they’ve decided to keep the name tradition going. The reality star went into detail about the choice to have their son go by a nickname. “The reason I insisted on a ‘nickname’ is bc I don’t want people to call him baby Vic/little Vic his whole life. I know people who are 60 years old and they’re still ‘little Johnny’ & they don’t like it.”
The choice to go by a nickname is something that made sense for Nicole likes, too. “Another thing — my closest people call me Coco & I love it. It stuck and I’ve had it since I was a baby so that’s what I’m hoping Arrow feels too! It’s fun having a name that people who really know you refer to you as. If he grows up and wants to be called Victor we will do that too. It’s all up to him once he understands! I think Arrow is a bad ask name and I’m so pumped!”
The Big Brother star also shared that a listener to her podcast inspired the name! “Thank you to the Coco Caliente Listener on our podcast Facebook page who accidentally typed Arrow instead of Arroyo— you are the reason we found this name!!”
