In August, singer and songwriter Billy Corgan and his wife Chloé Mandel announced they were expecting their third baby together. Now, the couple has revealed the sex of their upcoming new arrival. “… and the secret’s out! ”
The couple shared a video in a joint Instagram post from a doctor’s appointment where Chloé was getting an ultrasound. The Smashing Pumpkins frontman took a video that showed his wife and the couple’s two children: Augustus Juppiter, 9, and Philomena Clementine, 5. The kids excitedly listened to their baby sibling’s heartbeat before the “1979” singer asked daughter Clementine if she thought the baby was a boy or a girl. She revealed that both she and her brother guess it’s a girl.
With a rapt audience, the ultrasound technician then shared the baby’s sex: it’s a girl! Augustus and Clementine excitedly gushed about being right while both parents smiled warmly at the news of having a baby girl.
The “Edin” singer has been with the CEO and co-creative director of House of Gilles since 2012. Billy asked Chloé to marry him on her 30th birthday in September 2022. One year later in September 2023, the couple tied the knot at their home in Highland Park, Illinois. On their one-year anniversary, the fashion designer wrote on Instagram, “Today marks the one year anniversary of our marriage. To many more beautiful blessed years filled with love, family and life.”
