WNBA player Candace Parker has added another bundle of joy to her family! The Las Vegas Aces power forward and her wife Anna Petrakova have welcomed their second baby together, Candace’s third. “Our Starting lineup is complete.”
To announce the news, the basketball star shared a picture of her family, all dressed in white, with Anna, who carried the couple’s baby, holding their newborn. Candace and Anna welcomed a son on May 21st and chose to name him Hartt Summitt Petrakov Parker.
Hartt’s middle name is a nod to the late women’s basketball coach Pat Summitt, who coached Candace during her time at the University of Tennessee. In 2009, the WNBA player reflected on her coach’s impact sharing, “I sometimes did not understand her logic, but now that I am out in the real world, I see that there was a method to her madness. Everything she did was to make me a better individual.”
Candace and Anna, who tied the knot in 2019, welcomed their first baby together in February 2022, a son named Airr Larry whom goes by the nickname Goose. Candace also has a 14-year-old daughter Lailaa Nicole, whom she shares with her ex-husband Shelden Williams. The former Chicago Sky player gave an update on her family life announcing Hartt’s birth writing, ” We are so in love and grateful for our little brother. Zone defense is ummm interesting, but we are managing. Goose is ummm adjusting.”
Congratulations to Candace and Anna on the birth of baby Hartt! We wish them lots of love during their transition to a family of five.
