Rapper Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, announced some exciting news yesterday during her performance at the BET Awards: she’s expecting her second child! The rapper stepped onto the stage to perform with her husband Offset and his group Migos in an embroidered Dolce & Gabbana bodysuit, a sheer panel in the abdomen exposed her growing baby bump.
After the news went live, Cardi posted an announcement on her Instagram page. She shared a maternity photo where she was completely naked with white paint over the front of her covering her breasts and baby bump. She captioned the photo simply as “#2! ♥️”
Cardi and Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, share one other child together. They welcomed a daughter who they named Kulture Kiari Cephus, in July of 2018. Offset also has three other children from previous relationships: a daughter named Kalea, 6, and two sons Kody, 6, and Jordan, 11. “K” names seem to be a theme in the family. We’ll see if the couple chooses another K name for their second child together!
The rappers tied the knot in secret in September 2017 in Atlanta, Georgia. But the two kept their nuptials a secret for nearly a year. At the time, Cardi shared, “There are so many moments that I share with the world and then there are moments that I want to keep for myself! Getting married was one of those moments! Our relationship was so new breaking up and making up and we had a lot of growing up to do but we was so in love we didn’t want to lose each other, was one morning in September we woke up and decided to get married.
“We found someone to marry us, and she did, just the two of us and my cousin. I said I do, with no dress no makeup and no ring! I appreciate and love my husband so much for still wanting for me [to] have that special moment that every girl dreams of when he got down on his knee and put a ring on my finger and he did that for me!!”
