It must be spawning season: Nev Schulman, the host of MTV’s Catfish: The TV Show, has announced that he and his girlfriend Laura Perlongo are pregnant and engaged!
The pair who have been in a long-distance relationship for roughly seven months, said that the pregnancy was “accidentally on purpose.” Perlongo wrote a blog about the pregnancy news for on ATTN, explaining: “We had talked about wanting kids and had pulled the goalie maybe half-a-time-once but weren’t necessarily expecting this news, THE NEWS.”
Schulman and Perlongo both shared photos from their first ultrasound experience. Perlongo captioned her post, “I ate a big sandwich and it has a heartbeat! Completely head over heels in love and excited to announce that [Nev] and I are bringing a new bb person into the world…SO EXCITED FOR THIS BABY!!!”
The Catfish host shared a similar photo but also revealed their baby’s gender. He wrote, “IT’S A GIRL! No words can describe the excitement and joy I feel about becoming a father. I am so in love with you [Laura] and thank you for giving me this incredible gift. You inspire and excite me every day.”
The couple revealed their engagement a few weeks after their baby news. Schulman shared a photo of the couple, with a gorgeous shot of Perlongo’s diamond ring, writing “Seriously, though, couldn’t be more in love with this nugget. So excited to spend my life with you.”
