Last week, Lady A singer Charles Kelley and his wife Cassie announced they were expecting their second baby together. The news came almost 10 years after they welcomed their first child. Now, the couple has revealed the sex of their little one.
The Lady A singer’s wife Cassie shared a joint video with her husband showing how she told her husband and their first baby, a son named Ward Charles, the sex of the family’s new arrival. Cassie first told Ward the news, coming up to him on the couch and asking if he wanted to learn whether he would have a baby brother or a baby sister. He excitedly said yes and jumped for joy when he heard the news. Then, Cassie cut to a clip where she and Ward handed Charles a gift bag that would reveal their baby’s sex. The “Need You Now” singer opened the bag to reveal a blue baby outfit. It’s a boy!
The couple announced late last month that they were adding a baby to their family and shared that their little one would arrive this fall. They shared that the news was the “biggest surprise of our lives!” When trying to get pregnant with their son Ward, who was born in February 2016, they struggled to conceive. Earlier today, the “Love You Back” singer shared a throwback picture of Cassie and Ward and added text to the post gushing, “I still can’t believe I’m about to have another baby with this woman! Best unexpected surprise.”
