Shay Mooney of the country duo Dan + Shay announced via Instagram today that he and his wife, Hannah Billingsley are expecting baby number 2!
The announcement photo featured Shay and Hannah’s first son together, Asher James. Not only was the post sharing the couple is pregnant, but it also revealed the gender. It’s a boy! The couple were convinced they were having a girl, but it turns out they will be blessed with another boy.
Mooney has said that he knew he wanted to marry Billingsley from the very first moment he saw her. They met in 2014 through mutual friends. Two months after their engagement in August 2016, they announced they were expecting. Shay and Hannah welcomed their first son Asher into the world in January of 2017. Later that same year, in October, the couple were married at an outdoor ceremony in their home state of Arkansas.
Baby news isn’t the only excitement for this couple! The announcement comes on the heels of Dan + Shay’s sixth number 1 song, “All To Myself”. There’s lots in store for this family and we wish them congratulations for all the excitement and joy their lives hold!
