Professional soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo has announced that his partner, Georgina Rodríguez, is pregnant! But the news doesn’t stop there – the couple are expecting twins!
Using Instagram’s news collaborations feature, the couple posted a joint post from each of their Instagram pages to share the news. The announcement featured two images. In the first, the couple appeared to lie in bed while Cristiano held up two sonogram images, one for each of their twins. The second image show Cristiano in a pool with his four other children. All were holding up two fingers to signify the twins. The caption of the post read: “Delighted to announce we are expecting twins👶🏻👶🏻. Our hearts are full of love – we can’t wait to meet you ❤️🏠”
This set of twins will be the second set Cristiano welcomes into his family. The Manchester United F.C. forward first became a father in 2010 when he welcomed a son, whom he named after himself: Cristiano Jr., 11. At the time, he shared on social media, “With the agreement of the mother, who wishes to remain anonymous, I will have exclusive custody of my son.”
Cristiano welcomed his first set of twins in June 2017: a son named Mateo and a daughter named Eva. Similar to his first child, the mother of his twins has not been identified. The twins were welcomed via surrogate.
One month after announcing the arrival of his twins, Cristiano announced that he and Georgina, a model, were expecting. The couple welcomed their first child together in November of 2017, a daughter named Alana. When he announced the arrival of Alana, the image was one of the most-liked photo on Instagram for that year (2017). Cristiano features his children frequently on his Instagram page and appears to enjoy his role as a father.
