Acting power couple Daveed Diggs and Emmy Raver-Lampman are taking their relationship to a new level. The couple has announced they are expecting their first baby together! “We can’t wait to meet you.”
The Little Mermaid star and Emmy shared a joint Instagram post to reveal the news, which showcased three images of the couple outdoors. The Umbrella Academy star wore a stunning black jumpsuit with a cutout for her growing baby bump while Daveed held her and cradled her belly.
Daveed and Emmy first met in 2015 in the first Broadway cast of Hamilton, with Daveed portraying Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson and Emmy taking on Eliza Schuyler and Angelica Schuyler in the production tour. A few years later, the couple began dating romantically, though they keep their relationship rather private. In 2021, they did give fans a peek into their lives with a cover story in Architectural Digest. The couple showed off their home in Southern California, designed by Mandy Cheng.
Emmy spoke of the home, “This may be our first house together, but I already see us and our families and our community and our passions everywhere I look.” The Blindspotting star shared, “Having a home like this definitely makes it harder to be away. Now I really understand what it means to miss home; because there is really no other place I want to be.”
