Last week, YouTube star and beauty influencer Desi Perkins announced the arrival of her second child with her husband Steven. The couple welcomed a baby girl and, at the time, they did not reveal her name. Now, they have made the announcement and shared the name of their newborn daughter.
Desi and Steven named their daughter and second child Harley Reign Perkins. Desi shared an Instagram post with a selection of black and white photos from her birth experience in the hospital. The Dezi Skin founder reflected on the experience in the caption of the post writing, “Looking at these moments is such an outta body experience. I’m looking down at something incredible and remember that I did that. The emotions I feel when I see these photos is like I’m living them for the first time because while I was in labor I didn’t see these beautiful moments, I was exhausted and just hoping that the next push would be the one where I finally got to meet my baby girl.”
Desi continued by sharing, “There is nothing like the moment when you came into the world and were placed on my chest. I burst out into tears of happiness, I didn’t even recognize that cry as being my own. The pushes that got me there where the ones where I looked straight into @stevenperkins eyes. Truly the most amazing partner.”
The influencer, who also has a 1-year-old son named Ocean, hopped onto Instagram Stories yesterday to share how she’s feeling about her life with 2 children under 2 years old. “I’m still in the first week of trying to find the groove of everything. It’s such a beautiful time and also a hard time for a mom because your hormones are dropping and you’re dealing with all the bleeding and trying to heal and trying to breastfeed. That stuff is so challenging.”
