Over one year after announcing her pregnancy, actress Elisabeth Moss has confirmed the arrival of her first baby. While promoting the sixth and final season of her TV series The Handmaid’s Tale, the actress discussed her life as a mom. Elisabeth even opened up about having her little one on set.

During promotional appearances, Elisabeth spoke about motherhood and that her little one was born sometime in 2024. She initially announced her pregnancy in January 2024. No details about her baby are known, including her baby’s name, sex, birth date, or her baby’s father. While the actress was married to Fred Armisen from 2009 to 2011, she has not been public with her current relationship status.

At Paley Fest, the actress shared that she was “so fortunate” to have her newborn on set with her in Vancouver while filming the final season of The Handmaid’s Tale. The Hulu series started filming its sixth season in September 2024. Of bringing her baby to set, Elisabeth shared, “So many parents cannot. Any of us who had the privilege of being able to bring our kids or see our kids at work, we would every single time be like, ‘Aren’t we lucky to get to do that?'”

The actress also spoke about how motherhood impacted her performance as the titular character of June Osborne on the show. “This coming together of art and life that was undoubtedly, incredibly meaningful. I’m really glad that I got to have this last season playing June with a little bit more of a visceral emotional experience of some of the things that June is talking about or fighting for.”

Congratulations to Elisabeth on the arrival of her first baby! We hope she is continuing to enjoy motherhood.
