Country musician Granger Smith has announced that his wife Amber is pregnant with the couple’s fourth child!

In Granger’s post, he wrote in the caption: “We’re pregnant. I don’t have many words for this video. Life isn’t perfect. Sometimes it’s beat up and broken but it’s NEVER hopeless. God promises that. Our story isn’t finished yet, and neither is yours! Through our suffering and joy, God’s glory radiates through it all! A new Smith boy is due in August.”

The news comes a little less than two years after the couple lost their son River in a drowning accident in June of 2019. The post that Granger shared was a video that featured his family set to a voiceover. Each member of the family shared a message to River. Granger started by sharing, “Dear River, Because of the life you lived, we’ve known so much joy.” The couple’s 7-year-old son Lincoln continued, “River, Because of the life you lived, we laughed a whole lot.”

Next, their 9-year-old daughter London, shared, “And because of the life you lived, we’ve cried a bunch, too.” Granger continued, “Dear River, Because of the life you lived, we’ve grown closer to God.” Amber continued, “And God gave us a miracle. Sweet Riv, because of the life you lived, very soon, you’re going to have a baby brother.”

After River was born, Amber had her tubes tied, as they had planned for River to be their last child. Their thoughts changed when Granger realized he had extra love to give as a father. Since Amber’s surgery was irreversible, the couple turned to IVF. This journey was not easy, as Amber miscarried with the first of the two viable embryos they produced. Thankfully, the second embryo stuck and they are now ready to welcome another baby boy to their family.

We’re elated for Granger and his family on embarking on this new chapter and wish them lots of love as they prepare to welcome their newborn.
