In July, reality star Gypsy Rose Blanchard announced she was expecting her first baby with her partner Ken Urker. The following month, the couple shared that they were expecting a girl. Now, they’ve revealed the name they’ve chosen for their little one.
Over the weekend, the Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup star celebrated her baby shower, surrounded by family and friends, at LARC”s Acadian Village in Lafayette, Louisiana. During the event, the reality star shared the moniker she and Ken picked for their baby girl: Aurora Raina Urker. Aurora is due to arrive in January 2025.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the reality star gushed about her baby shower and the life she planned to give her daughter. “”Ken and I were so excited to have a beautiful celebration that our daughter Aurora Raina Urker can look back on and see how our community welcomed and embraced her with love. She will be supported and given all the happiness a child should experience.” As for what she’s most looking forward to about becoming a mom, Gypsy revealed, “Giving my daughter a happiness I never knew growing up.”
Gypsy met Ken during her incarceration, where she served a sentence for her role in her mother’s murder following years of being a victim to Munchausen syndrome by proxy at the hands of her mother. The two remained pen pals for years but their relationship didn’t last and she went on to marry another pen pal, Ryan Anderson. Gypsy and Ryan were married following her release from prison in 2023. However, the two called it quits and Gypsy rekindled her romance with Ken. For some time, there was speculation that Ryan was the father of Gypsy’s baby, but following a non-invasive DNA test, Gypsy confirmed that Ken was, in fact, her baby’s biological father.
