Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker has grown his family! The NFL player revealed that he and his wife Isabelle have welcomed their third baby together. Harrison shared the news in a recent interview.
During an interview with Fox News’ The Ingraham Angle, the football player confirmed his family’s news by sharing that he and Isabelle “have three children.” He did not share any further details about the couple’s new arrival including their name, sex, or birth date. Choosing to keep this information private isn’t new for the couple. While they have shared they share a son named James who is 5-years-old, they have another baby, a girl, whose name and age is unknown.
While the football player has been in the NFL since 2017, he generally remained out of the spotlight until this past May when a commencement address he made went viral. During his speech at Benedictine College, Harrison suggested women were best suited to stepping into the roles of wives and mothers rather than pursuing careers, and referenced his own wife’s choices to drive home the message. He shared, “I can tell you that my beautiful wife, Isabelle, would be the first to say her life truly started when she started living her vocation as a wife and as a mother.” He continued, expressing that he was “beyond blessed” that Isabelle “would convert to the faith, become my wife, and embrace one of the most important titles of all: Homemaker. Isabelle’s dream of having a career might not have come true, but if you ask her today if she has any regrets on her decision, she would laugh out loud without hesitation, and say, ‘Hey, no.'”
Harrison and Isabelle met in high school and began dating during their freshman year. They got engaged in May 2017, one month after he was drafted into the NFL by the Carolina Panthers. At the time, he wrote in an Instagram post, “After almost 7 years of being best friends with this girl, I finally popped the question. From the first moments of our relationship, back in freshman year of high school, I always envisioned marrying you and raising a family together.” The couple tied the knot less than one year later in April 2018.
