Actress Imani Hakim is a mom! The Mythic Quest star’s actor partner Chris Naoki Lee announced the news today, which happens to be his birthday, on Instagram. The little one is the couple’s first baby together.

The Dinner Party actor shared an image of him and Imani holding their newborn’s hand in the hospital. The couple welcomed a baby boy on February 2nd. “On 2/2/25, clocking in just shy of 7lb and 21inches, our beautiful boy is here to make his world premiere.” The actors chose to name their son Kazuo-Marley Hakim Lee and revealed the nickname they have for him. “Please welcome to the stage, KazuoMarley Hakim Lee. But you can call him.. Kaz Marley.”

The writer gushed about celebrating his first birthday as a dad in his post writing, “Today’s my birthday. Of all the birthdays I’ve ever had, this one represents something so special and so unique and so universal. An unbroken kind of love has been awakened this week.” He went on to describe the joy of seeing his partner give birth. “Seeing my life partner, my fiancé, my rock go through one of the most inspiring yet grueling experiences has shown me what she’s willing to do for that special kind of love. These emotions are hard to put into words, and even harder to not show on our sleeve. Because after 42 hours of labor, after many months of anticipation, after being showered by love and support from all of those around us, he is finally here.”

The Everybody Hates Chris alum announced her engagement to Chris a few weeks before sharing her pregnancy news in December of last year. Chris popped the questions in the couple’s home with the help of their dog Kobe.
