Fitness influencer Kayla Itsines announced last July that she was expecting her second child, her first with her partner Jae Woodroffe. The Sweat co-founder has now announced the arrival of her little one! “Words absolutely cannot describe this feeling. We are SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW.”
The couple chose not to learn their little one’s sex prior to their arrival, and were excited to learn they welcomed a baby boy! Kayla recalled the serendipitous moment she learned she had a son, “The most amazing thing, as he was coming out, out of nowhere on a completely random playlist the hospital was playing, Jae’s dads funeral song started playing over the speakers. I heard Jae say at the same time ‘It’s a boy!!!!!’ I burst into tears, he burst into tears and we got to meet our baby BOY.” The couple named their son Jax Stokes Woodroffe.
The fitness guru revealed that her son was born on January 5th writing, “We went into hospital around 6:30am on the 5th of January. He was out in the world by 8:45am weighing 3.5kgs (7.72 pounds). Healthy and quiet.” She also revealed how her daughter Arna, whom she shares with her ex-partner Tobi Pearce, reacted to the news. “As for Arna … even though she said she wouldn’t if he was a boy… she absolutely LOVES him!!!”
After sharing his birth announcement, Kayla posted a video of Arna meeting her brother. The 3-year-old appeared excited to meet her brother and even planted a kiss on his cheek. Kayla then set Arna up with a pillow to hold her baby brother, which she did gently and appeared very proud as she held him close. Kayla cried happy tears seeing her two children interact.
Congratulations to Kayla and Jae on the arrival of their first child together! We wish them lots of love as they welcome baby Jax into their family.
