Congratulations to The Late Late Show host James Corden and his wife, Julia Carey, who just welcomed their third child together.
With James at his wife’s side, that meant someone had to run the show… Harry Styles to the rescue! The singer took on the task like a pro, greeting the audience with the exciting announcement: “I actually have some great news. Just half an hour ago, James and his wife Jules had a beautiful baby girl.”
He added that he “was just at the hospital before I came to fill in and she looks a lot like James — mainly because James looks like a giant baby.”
Harry, it seems, was given just two hours notice to guest host the show, explaining, “I was sitting at home two hours ago in this suit, obviously. I got the call Jules was going into labor so James naturally called the funniest man he knew… he obviously wasn’t available.”
James made the baby announcement on Twitter, though hasn’t yet shared the name, writing: “Today we welcomed a beautiful baby daughter into the world. Both she and her mother are doing great. We can’t stop smiling. Thank you Harry for stepping in to host the show at 2 and a half hours notice! x x x.”
The Corden family’s new addition joins big brother Max, 6, and sister, Carey, 3.
