Reality stars Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner are the proud parents of twin babies! The couple, who met and tied the knot on the reality dating series Married at First Sight, have announced the arrival of their twins. The little ones are the couple’s third and fourth babies.
Jamie and Doug announced in March that they were expecting twins and later revealed that they would welcome identical twin boys. The couple’s twins were born on September 18th and they named their sons Hawkins Tyler Hehner and Huxley James Hehner. Hawkins was born three minutes earlier than Huxley.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the former Bachelor contestant shared some details about her birth. “They were born at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Dr. Somer was absolutely spectacular delivering them easily and quickly. I was so scared I’d end up with a vaginal delivery for baby A [Hawkins] and c-section for baby B [Huxley] since he was breech. But they were both born vaginally! We’ve had great care at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. All the nurses and doctors have been amazing.”
The twin’s monikers follow a naming pattern for the couple’s family. Jamie and Doug share two other children with ‘H’ names. They welcomed their first baby, a daughter named Henley Grace, in August 2017 and their second child, a son named Hendrix Douglas, was born in May 2020. The couple shared their babies name choices in a YouTube video days before the twins were born. They revealed that Hawkins name was decided on a few days before filming the video but Jamie loved the name “from the beginning” but Doug had to come around to it. Hawkin’s middle name of Tyler is after Doug’s grandfather. Huxley is a name the couple both liked and his middle name James is close to Jamie’s name.
Congratulations to Jamie and Doug on the birth of Hawkins and Huxley!
