Janet Jackson welcomed her first child, a baby boy, on January 3. Congrats to the singer and her husband, Wissam Al Mana.
Their rep shared a few details with People.com in a statement, writing: “Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana are thrilled to welcome their new son Eissa Al Mana into the world.”
The statement added: “Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably.”
Janet and Wissam were married in 2012. The pregnancy was speculated in April 2016 when Janet postponed her Unbreakable World Tour, as she explained they wanted to focus on family.
In a video she released at the time, she noted: “My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour.”
Eissa is a Hebrew/Arabic name meaning “God is Salvation.” It is a form of the name Jesus.
In October, Janet shared a baby bump photo with People, saying, “We thank God for our blessing.”
Congratulations again on their exciting addition!
