Counting On star Jedidiah Duggar is growing his family! The reality star and his wife Katey took to their joint Instagram account to share that they are expecting not one baby but two. It’s twins!
In the couple’s post, they shared images from their gender reveal party. The caption began, “We have exciting news to share—we’re expecting! But we were not expecting THIS!” The images showed the couple each holding a black balloon and, once popped, revealed pink confetti. It’s twins girls! Jed, who wrote the caption, reflected on being a twin himself writing, “We are overjoyed to announce that we have twin girls on the way! As a twin myself, I’m especially thrilled to welcome these double blessings into our family! The bond between twins is truly special, and I can’t wait to see them grow and experience life together.” Jeremiah Duggar, who has two children of his own, is Jedidiah’s twin.
Jed and Katey, who have been married since April 2021, share two children together. The couple welcomed their first baby, a son named Truett Oliver in May 2022. Their second baby arrived the following year in June 2023, a daughter named Nora Kate. The 19 Kids and Counting star shared how he thought life with twins would change the household writing, “Our children, Truett and Nora, have no idea just how much their lives are about to change with the arrival of their new sisters. We’re excited to watch their bond as siblings grow and to see the fun and love multiply in our home! This new chapter will bring endless joy and shared adventures for our whole family!”
The reality star expressed what he and Katey thought upon learning they were expecting twins sharing, “When we found out we were having twins, our excitement was overwhelming,” pointing out that they felt that “especially knowing they will be the first twin grandbabies in the Duggar family.” Jedidiah’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, have two sets of twins.
