Musician Jelly Roll is looking to expand his family! During an interview on the podcast Bussin’ with the Boys, the “Wild Ones” singer revealed that he and his wife Bunnie XO, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, are undergoing IVF to have a baby. A future child for the couple would be Jelly Roll’s third baby and Bunnie XO’s first.

During his interview, the singer, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, opened up about losing 60 pounds. “My wife and I are talking about having a baby, and it really made me realize that at almost 40, I was like, it means I got to live to at least 60. I got to see this kid into college.” He went on to reference the death of Jerry Garica, who died at age 53, “I was young, so I was like, ’56 would be great for me! … It’s better than 27 when all the other stars died. It’s 27 or 56 in the celebrity world. Let me be 56.’ But now I’m like, ‘I’d like to see my 60s.’ You know what I mean? And that really lit it [the weight loss] up.”

Following the release of the podcast episode, Bunnie XO took to Instagram to discuss the news. “Papabear dropped a surprise on this pod today We had planned on doing this privately, but decided our ivf journey needed to be shared because we’ve always been so open. And w/all odds stacked against us, it’s always been hard & we have only just begun.”

Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO have been married since 2016 and in 2017 were granted full custody of the “Save Me” singer’s oldest child. The country singer has two children from previous relationships: a 16-year-old daughter named Bailee Ann and a 7-year-old son named Noah Buddy.

We wish Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO all the best on their IVF journey as they prepare to grow their family!
