Musician Jesse McCartney is going to be a dad! The “Make A Baby” singer and his wife Katie Peterson announced they are expecting their first baby together. “Our lil Valentine.”
In a Valentine’s Day themed post, the couple shared images of them together surrounded by red roses to share their pregnancy. In some pictures, the couple wore black satin pajamas. Katie’s were stitched with “mom” while Jesse’s was stitched with ‘dad.’ They didn’t reveal the sex of their baby but shared that their little one is due to arrive on August 8th. In his Instagram Stories, the “Beautiful Soul” singer shared a video of the post going live and wrote, “Sharing this new public made it all the more real!! New Chapter you guys…”
The Young Justice star dated Katie for nine years before the couple tied the knot in 2021. Jesse and Katie were married in an October ceremony at the Santa Lucia Preserve in Carmel, California. On their wedding anniversary last year, the singer shared images from the couple’s wedding and wrote simply in the caption, “3 Years with My Katie… ❤️.”
Jesse has previously discussed having a family with his wife. In an interview with E! News last March, the former Dream Street band member shared of having children, “That’s the path we’re traveling down at this moment. It’s something we’ve discussed.” He opened up about how becoming a dad isn’t something he takes lightly. “The general idea of having to keep something alive is very scary to me. We’ve done a pretty good job with our dog,” he shared referring to his dog Bailey. “But it pales in comparison to the responsibility of taking care of a human child.”
