Actress Joanne Froggatt is going to be a mom! The actress, most notably known for portraying the role of Anna Bates in the TV series Downton Abbey, announced she is expecting her first baby. Joanne debuted her baby bump on the red carpet at the Into Film Awards at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in London.

To showcase her growing bump, the Breathtaking star wore a scarlet red mini dress that featured a long train. The 43-year-old paired the look with a matching pair of heels. While Joanne posted images from the event, she did not share any details about her pregnancy including her due date and the sex of her baby. In her post she wrote about the event, “It was a total pleasure to attend the @intofilm_edu awards this afternoon and to be in a room full of such talented young people. Into Film are an amazing charity providing education and opportunities for young people interested in the film industry.”

Joanne’s dating life is currently unknown. The actress split from her ex-husband James Cannon in 2020, announcing in February of that year that the couple had been separated for some time. She told The Telegraph at the time that she was “looking to the future. I’m just going to embrace this year and see what happens.”

The North Shore star spoke about life in her 40s sharing, “I thought I’d win an Oscar, be married with three kids and living in Hollywood. But those are dreams that you have when you’re a teenager. And then you go through the reality of life and nothing works out the way you expect, good or bad.” She went on to discuss the possibility of becoming a mother one day sharing, “If it happens, it happens. And if it doesn’t, I hope I’ll still feel I can live a happy and fulfilled life.”

Congratulations to Joanne on the news of her first baby!
