Musician John Legend and former model Chrissy Teigen have added another bundle of joy to their family! The couple has welcomed their fourth child together after announcing their pregnancy last August. “What a blessed day.”
During a private concert last night, John revealed to the crowd that he and his wife welcomed “the little baby this morning.” The “Minefields” singer also shared that he “didn’t get a lot of sleep” but “feels energized” after spending “a lot of time” at the hospital. The couple has not shared any details about their newborn nor made an official announcement on their social media pages.
John and Chrissy’s new baby joins siblings Luna Simone, 6, and Miles Theodore, 4, into the Stephens family. The couple has another child they named Jack who unfortunately never made it earthside. Chrissy was 20 weeks pregnant when they lost him due to pregnancy complications, one of which included a partial placenta abruption diagnosis. When announcing her pregnancy in August, Chrissy referenced the loss of her son writing, “The last few years have been a blur of emotions to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again.”
In February of last year, Chrissy revealed that the couple had begun IVF treatments to conceive again. Both Luna and Miles were conceived through IVF. The following month, the EGOT winner spoke with PEOPLE about why the couple feel it’s important to be open about their fertility journey. “Whether it’s IVF, or other fertility struggles, whether it’s losing a pregnancy, I think both of us have felt like it’s good for us to share this with other people because other people are going through it too, we don’t think they should suffer in silence without knowing there are other people out there who are feeling the same thing.”
