Happy news for American Idol alum Jordin Sparks, who not only revealed that she was secretly married… but is also pregnant with her first child!
People.com first confirmed the news that Jordin and boyfriend Dana Isaiah were married in mid-July and that they’re expecting a baby in the spring.
Jordin explained, “We’re both really excited,” adding, “He’s been like, ‘I want to shout it from the mountain tops!’ We’re really proud to be married to each other and to be celebrating this.”
Jordin and Dana met earlier this year after their moms put them in touch with each other with the intention that Jordin would give the aspiring model some advice about moving to L.A.
They spoke nearly every day for a month and finally met over the Easter weekend, People reports.
Jordin explained: “A couple days after we had actually met, I was like in my head ‘That’s going to be my husband! That’s my husband right there.’ When I’m with him, I feel comfort and safety and calm and peace, and those aren’t things that I normally felt. So it was a little wake-up call for me.”
