Singer-songwriter Kali Uchis is pregnant! The “Moonlight” singer has announced she and her partner, rapper Don Toliver, are expecting their first baby together. “Mom & Dad can’t wait to share our life with you.”
To announce their family news, Kali and Don shared a joint Instagram video that showed clips of the couple during Kali’s pregnancy thus far, including at a doctor’s appointment. The couple even included videos of themselves as children. The “After the Storm” singer captioned the post, “Starting our family❤️🩹 don’t take too long to get here little pooks, mom & dad can’t wait to share our life with you.” The singer shared the video to her Instagram Stories and expressed her excitement over her news. “The greatest moment of my life was when we first heard your heartbeat. Since then our new little family has already taught me a love I’ve never know. To a lifetime of more greatest moments.” The couple did not reveal when their little one is due to arrive.
The “No Idea” rapper confirmed he was dating Kali in 2021 in an interview with W Magazine. “We’re not crazy public or nothing like that. We just vibe,” he shared in the interview. That year, the couple traveled to Kali’s home county Colombia to shoot two music videos from his album Life of a DON: “What You Need” and “Drugs N Hella Melodies.” Both videos featured the songwriter and Don had the opportunity to meet some of her family during the trip. “I already had it in my mind to go out there and shoot a video with her incorporated into it, to make it a real-deal situation.”
