Kourtney Kardashian
The first of her generation to bring a child into the world is Kourtney, the eldest Kardashian. Kourtney welcomed her first child with long-time boyfriend Scott Disick on December 14, 2009. Kourtney opted with a traditional name, calling him Mason, but gave him a unique middle name. Mason’s middle name, Dash, is a nod to the retail store Kourtney formerly ran with fellow sisters Kim and Khloe. The first Kardashian birth was featured on their reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians where Kourtney is famously seen pulling baby Mason out into the world. The scene has become truly iconic.
Kourtney welcomed her second child with Disick on July 8, 2012. This time, the couple welcomed a daughter, Penelope. But that wasn’t the end for the notoriously unwed couple! They welcomed their third child exactly five years after Mason. Their second son was born on December 14, 2014. For this child, the couple opted to choose a less traditional name and decided to call their son Reign.
Reign was likely the last child for parents Kourtney and Scott as the couple is no longer together. They are, however, killing it in the co-parenting game, which is wonderful for their three beautiful children!
Kim Kardashian
Motherhood seemed to always be in the cards for the most famous Kardashian. In 2012, Kim began dating now-husband Kanye West, who reportedly held a torch for Kim from the time they met in the mid-2000s. In December of 2012, the couple announced they were expecting a child together. Following the birth of her daughter on June 15, 2013, the world waited on bated breathe for the reality-superstar to reveal her baby’s name. In true Kim Kardashian fashion, she completely shocked everyone by sharing she named her daughter North.
One year after their 2014 May wedding, the couple announced they were expecting their second child together. In December of 2015, Kimye welcomed the birth of their first son, Saint. Saint would be the last pregnancy for Kim, who had very difficult pregnancies. Kim suffers from a condition known as placenta accreta, in which the placenta is hard to remove after birth. It makes delivery dangerous, so for her next two children, Kim opted to use a surrogate.
2017 was a wild year for Kardashian/Jenner births! Rumors were swirling for months about which members of the clan were expecting, and Kim was one of them. In September of 2017, Kimye announced they were expecting a third child via surrogate. On January 15, 2018, they welcomed their second daughter, Chicago.
Chicago wasn’t the only child of Kimye’s born via surrogate. The couple announced in January of this year that they would be welcoming another child to their growing family. On May 9th, Kimye’s surrogate gave birth to the couple’s second son, whom they named Psalm.
If there’s one thing this power couple is good at, it’s giving uniquely beautiful names to their children. The real question is, could Kimye continue to grow their family in the future? Kim has said she wants to have a big family so Psalm may not be their last!
Khloe Kardashian
During the great pregnancy secret of 2017, Khloe was another Kardashian rumored to be expecting a child. Khloe was married to ex-husband Lamar Odom from 2009 to 2016. While the couple tried to get pregnant, they were unable to, something that caused Khloe quite a bit of sadness. She revealed on Keeping Up With The Kardashians how much she wanted to start a family.
After rumor swirled around for months, Khloe finally announced her pregnancy in December of 2017 with a gorgeous bare baby bump photo. The photo also featured Khloe’s then-boyfriend and father of her baby, NBA star Tristian Thompson. The couple wasn’t without drama as it was revealed just days before Khloe gave birth that Tristian had been cheating.
Amidst the scandal, Khloe worked hard to make the birth of her daughter one of pure joy. On April 12, 2018, Khloe welcomed True into the world. While True seems like just another unique celebrity name, it’s actually a name steeped in family history! Khloe’s great-grandfather (mother Kris Jenner’s grandfather) was named true and Khloe’s grandfather’s (Jenner’s father) middle name was True. What a sweet namesake!
Rob Kardashian
Kris Jenner’s only son Rob announced he was expecting a baby with Blac Chyna in May 2016. Rob and Blac Chyna had a whirlwind romance. They started dating in January 2016, became engaged in April, and announced their pregnancy the following month. The couple welcomed their daughter Dream on November 10, 2016. Since then, the couple has been notoriously featured in the news for their dramatic relationship. They are no longer together and are still working out the kinks in co-parenting their daughter.
Kylie Jenner
The final Kardashian/Jenner subject to baby rumors in 2017 was makeup mogul Kylie Jenner. Fans speculated for months whether Kylie was expecting. She kept tight-lipped and laid low for quite a while. She never announced she was pregnant. But, she did reveal the birth of her daughter Stormi on February 4, 2018, three days after welcoming her into the world. Kylie shared a touching video of her pregnancy and revealed that she wanted to keep this part of her life personal. For a girl who grew up on reality TV from the time she was a pre-teen, we can understand her desire to keep some things private!
Alongside Kylie in parenthood is her boyfriend Travis Scott. The two seem incredibly in love with each other and the best parents to little Stormi. There’s been some speculation that Kylie and Travis are pregnant with baby number 2, but nothing has been confirmed. Of course, given how Kylie was with her first pregnancy, we may not find out until after a new baby arrives!
