Actress Keira Knightley has given birth to her second child with husband, ex-Klaxons musician, James Righton. Unlike many celebrities, the couple didn’t announce the birth on social media. Instead, they were spotted strolling down the street toting their new bundle of joy.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star shares a 4-year-old with her husband, their daughter Edie. Keira has kept her daughter pretty private and away from the spotlight, sharing anecdotes here and there about her journey of being a mother. In 2015, she spoke with Elle about her daughter saying, “It’s a very primal, primal love. That’s quite extraordinary. And the ability to have no sleep and continue going. It’s not pleasant — I never thought that I could actually do it for the amount of time that I’ve done it.”
The Golden Globe winner is known for being quite private about her life in general. It wasn’t until May of this year that she announced she was pregnant with her second child. She confirmed her second pregnancy at the Chanel J12 party in Paris.
Keira and James’s relationship was made public in April 2011 when they were spotted kissing in an East London park. In May of 2012, James proposed to the Pride and Prejudice star. One year later, in May of 2013, the couple was wed in an intimate ceremony in the south of France at the Mazan Town Hall. Keira looks simply radiant on her wedding day. She wore a simple but elegant short, strapless tulle dress by Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld, with flats, a cropped Chanel jacket, and a daisy-chain garland atop her shoulder-length brown tresses.
There’s no news yet on what the couple chose to name their new baby or its gender. But, if the stroller in the images is any indication, the blue would signify that it is perhaps a baby boy! Congratulations to the happy family!
