Nearly two months after welcoming their first baby together, reality star Kourtney Kardashian and musician Travis Barker have shared the first images of their little one. The couple welcomed a son on November 1st, but hadn’t made an official announcement of his arrival.
In a joint Instagram post, the couple introduced their son for the first time by sharing images of the family dressed in all black as they held their newborn close. One image showed The Kardashians star nursing her newborn with another of Travis holding his son and kissing him. The images were careful not to fully expose his face. They captioned the post simply: “ROCKY 🖤”
Days before the couple’s son made his arrival, Travis Barker revealed the name he and Kourtney chose for him on the One Life One Chance podcast: Rocky Thirteen. Prior to confirming the name, Travis had spoken about the moniker on the Complex’s GOAT Talk video series sharing that the name “been going through my head lately.” He went on to explain the significance, “Rocky George played guitar for Suicidal Tendencies,” and the name also pays tribute to 1976’s Rocky, “the greatest boxing movie of all time.” As for the middle name Thirteen, the Blink-182 drummer shared, “And 13 is just the greatest number of all time.”
In addition to their newborn, the couple has children from previous relationships. Kourtney shares Mason Dash, 14, Penelope Scotland, 11, and Reign Aston, 9. With his ex Shana Moakler, Travis shares stepdaughter Atiana, 24, and biological children Landon, 20, and Alabama, 17.
