Reality star Lala Kent is growing her family! The Vanderpump Rules star has revealed she is pregnant with her second baby. Lala, who is currently single, has previously been open about her desire to add another bundle of joy to her family.
Lala shared a close-up black and white picture of her first baby standing beside the reality stars’ growing baby bump. “I’m expanding my pod.” Lala shares her 2-year-old daughter Ocean with her ex Randall Emmett. The couple, who were previously engaged, broke up in October 2021, five months after Ocean was born. The podcast host has previously shared her desire to give her daughter a sibling. On her podcast Give Them Lala in January, she revealed she was starting the process. “I think Ocean is going to freak out when another baby comes into the mix because she’s obsessed with babies and I think she’s going to be extremely hands-on. We’re into the journey! We’re actually hauling ass full-steam ahead.”
The Bravo star later shared about her journey with Cosmopolitan, sharing that she had begun the process of intrauterine insemination (IUI). She shared that she had known “cookie-cutter couples” who had gone through the process but she is going through it on her own with the assistance of a donor. Lala went on to discuss the choice to do this on her. “When I had my life go in a very different direction, I knew I wanted more kids. It was such a strange thing that was happening because everyone would tell me, ‘You’re going to find somebody.’ And I got to thinking, ‘Why does my wanting more children need to involve another person?'”
Lala discussed the power she felt in taking the reins on growing her family. “I will not gamble on me having my child. And I just don’t think that finding a partner and falling in love with someone has anything to do with bringing a child into the world.” She also shared advice for other women who may be in a similar position. “If you want children and are only waiting for ‘that person’ to come into your life, let’s talk about a different route that we can take. It’s 2024! There are many ways to have a baby, and you don’t need a man to do it.”
