Last month, reality star Lala Kent revealed she was expecting her second baby. Lala revealed the news on an Amazon Live session today and went on to share the news on Instagram.
In a video surrounded by family and friends, one friend cut a cake on the kitchen counter while Lala stood nearby to watch, holding her daughter Ocean in her arms. As the friend cut through the cake, the inside revealed the color pink, much to Lala’s excitement. It’s a girl!
Lala shares her daughter Ocean with her ex Randall Emmett. However, for her second baby, Lala, who is currently single, chose to go through intrauterine insemination (IUI) to conceive. When announcing her pregnancy, she shared her desire to grow her family and what led to her decision to use IUI. “I will not gamble on me having my child. And I just don’t think that finding a partner and falling in love with someone has anything to do with bringing a child into the world.” In sharing this news with the world, Lala recalled, “I was really nervous at first to tell people that I was doing it this way because it was out of the norm, but I feel like it’s a very inspiring and empowering way to go about motherhood.”
During her Amazon Live, the Give Them Lala podcast host explained, “I did not pick the gender because I did IUI, which is where my eggs stay inside my body. I went to a doctor, they put a little tube up there with the goods and I get what I get, so I didn’t get embryos created like they do with IVF.”
