Last week, singer Lauren Alaina announced that she and her husband Cam Arnold were expecting their first baby together. Now, the couple has revealed the sex of their little one. “Baby Arnold is a….”

Yesterday, the couple shared a teaser video in black and white of Lauren and Cam during their at-home gender reveal. Today, they shared a similar video that began in the same black and white and then revealed the color to announce: it’s a girl! In the video, the couple put paint on their pets and had them place their paw prints on a canvas. At the end of the video, Lauren framed the image to hang on a wall in her home. The couple’s daughter will arrive in summer 2025.

When announcing her pregnancy, the American Idol alum shared that she and Cam had already chosen a moniker for their baby. The name takes after a member of their family. It’s very likely the name will honor Lauren’s father, who passed away in July. The singer shared in an interview about her pregnancy that she has felt her father’s presence throughout her pregnancy thus far. “I do think that my dad passed away and got a stair up in heaven and was like, ‘Hey, we got to work something out down there to send the family something good.’ And it has been such an unexpected blessing. We obviously still talk about and are dealing with the grief of my dad, but this baby has healed a lot of that for us … like it’s a little piece of my dad that will live on.”

The “Those Kind of Women” singer started dating Cam in 2020. The couple went on to tie the knot just last year in February 2024 in Nashville, TN. Lauren shared how her love for her partner grew as they learned about her pregnancy. “My love for him grew that day of getting married, and then finding out we were having a baby together. Walking through this experience with him has been unbelievable.”

Congratulations to Lauren and Cam on the news of their baby girl!
