Professional dancer Lindsay Arnold, who starred on the TV show Dancing with the Stars for over 10 years, announced last month that she was expecting her second child. After posting a teaser clip on Halloween, the dancer revealed the sex of her second child the next day.
Lindsay shared a video of her reveal party where she and her husband Samuel Cusick were surrounded by family and friends. The couple put on blindfolds and the video turned to black and white as someone brought the couple’s first child, daughter Sage Jill, out of the house. Sage was wearing the color dress associated with the gender of her sibling. When she reached her parents, they took off their masks to discover their daughter in a pink fluffy dress. It’s a girl! “We are beyond excited to bring another sweet girl into our family and so so happy that Sage will have a sister.”
The So You Think You Can Dance alum began dating her now-husband when they were teenagers growing up in Utah. Sam proposed to Lindsay in December 2014 in Africa while the two were on vacation. The couple tied the knot six months later in June 2015. At the time, Lindsay gushed, “I’ve loved Sam since I was 16 years old and today I officially get to spend the rest of my life with him — through giggles and tears, and every moment in between!”
The couple enjoyed 5 years of marriage before becoming pregnant, with Lindsay announcing her pregnancy in May 2020. They welcomed their daughter Sage in November 2020. Before announcing her pregnancy with her second child, Lindsay shared that she would not be returning to DWTS for season 31 sharing that the move to California to film the reality dance show would not work logistically for their family. “We exhausted every option we could think of to make it work but at the end of the day none of the options felt good in my heart or felt like the right thing for our lives right now.”
