Early last month, actress Madison De La Garza, the younger sister of singer and actress Demi Lovato, revealed that she and her partner Ryan Mitchell were expecting their first baby together. Nearly two months later, they’ve now shared a devastating update about their little one.
In a text-based Instagram post, the Desperate Housewives star shared that she and Ryan are mourning the loss of their baby, a girl who they chose to name Xiomara. Madison wrote, “On the evening of September 27th, after an emergency C-section, Ryan and I held our little girl for the first time and last time. Thank you, Xiomara, for making us parents to the most perfect angel in heaven. Mommy and Daddy love you sweet girl.”
Madison’s sister Demi wrote in a caption – and then shared the same sentiment to her Instagram Stories – “I love you so much Xiomara. An angel in every sense of the word. I’ll be your auntie forever.” Demi’s fiance Jutes also took to the comments to write, “I love you so much rest easy baby angel Xiomara.” Another sister of Madison’s, Dallas Lovato, commented, “Baby girl Xiomara, I miss you everyday. I’ll take good care of your mom, so you can fly away.”
It’s unclear when the actress started dating Ryan. She shared her first post with him in June of this year, but hadn’t been active on Instagram before that since October 2023, and hadn’t posted him prior to her hiatus from the social media app. Our thoughts are with Madison and Ryan during this difficult time.
