Actress Mae Whitman is going to be a mom! The Good Girls star took to Instagram on Mother’s Day to announce she is pregnant with her first baby. “Mother’s Day looking a little different this year!”
To reveal her news, the actress leaned on her previous role on Parenthood. Mae starred as Amber Holt on the NBC and her character was pregnant during the shows sixth and final season. She shared three four images from her pregnancy on the show, which featured shots of actress Lauren Graham, who played Mae’s mom, and Miles Heizer, who played her brother. “Not to make a parenthood episode out of it or anything but!!!” Mae captioned the post. She went on to write, “can’t wait to meet you, huge baby kicking my insides to filth! #ruveal” The Up Here star did not reveal any details about her pregnancy including her due date or her baby’s sex.
The actress’s comment section was filled with well-wishes from fellow celebrities. Mae’s Good Girls co-star Christina Hendricks wrote, “I’m so happy for you.” Actress Melanie Lynskey, who starred in The Perks of Being a Wallflower with Mae, commented, “Oh my gosh congratulations beautiful!!!!” Sharon Lawrence, who shared the stage with Mae in the play The Mystery of Love & Sex, gushed, “Soooooo happppy for you and the new life you are creating!!! Congratulations sweetheart.”
