Journalist Maria Menounos is a mom! After struggling with infertility for 10 years, Maria and her husband Keven Undergaro have welcomed their first baby via surrogate. The couple announced in February that they were expecting.

Maria and Keven have a daughter! The actress and her husband revealed their baby’s sex in April on the Heal Squad x Maria Menounos podcast. The couple named their first baby Athena Alexandra. Athena was born on June 23rd. When revealing Athena’s sex, Maria shared that her daughter would share her surname.

The Holiday Dating Guide star opened up with US Weekly about how she and Keven chose Athena’s name. “We knew we wanted a Greek name. We had a list, and everyone says when you see the baby, you’ll know, but that was totally untrue for us. We were like, ‘What do we do?’ Athena is the goddess of war and wisdom, and Keven loved the power of that name, so that was it!”

On welcoming their first child, the couple shared their feelings with US. “It was the most special moment of my life,” the Extra host shared. “The doctor literally grabbed her and hiked her onto me. I sat with her on my chest, and Keven and I kept looking at each other like, ‘Oh, my God.’ It was just pure joy.” Keven added that, “it was like Christmas morning times a million.”

As for whether the couple will grow their family again, Maria eagerly shared, “I want 50 more. I have one good embryo left. We’ll see, it would have to be fast. The joy that Athena has brought to this house — I want more of that. It feels so good. There have been a lot of rough times, but I know all of that is behind us, and all of the good stuff is ahead.”

Congratulations to Maria and Keven on the arrival of baby Athena! We hope they continue to enjoy becoming parents after a long journey to welcome a baby.
