Recent photos of Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, show the pregnant mom-to-be glowing, while she rubs her baby bump. It’s nothing too out of the ordinary for an expectant mom but, for some reason, the bump cradling didn’t go over so well with everyone on social media.

After all, you can’t please everyone.

While appearing at the recent British Fashion Awards, where she presented an award to the designer who created her wedding dress, Meghan wore a one-shoulder black gown and looked stunning and beyond happy, cradling her tummy.

The trolls were out in full force, with one person commenting on Twitter: “Seriously, no pregnant woman poses for photo like this. Ever. She’s such an actress. #MeghanMarkle#duchessofsussex #BritishFashionAwards #actingup.”

Another Twitter user sniped: “When will Meghan ‘Duchess of Sussex,’ stop constantly cradling her bump! Like the whole bloody world doesn’t know shes pregnant & it’s not like she doesnt get enough attention she’s craves. ‘I’m here to give an award but il make sure the attention is on me not the winner.'”

Of course, there were plenty of fans who showed their full support, too, with one person noting: “In the supposed era of Body Positivity, there seems to be people who have an issue with Meghan cradling her baby bump. All of the people criticizing Meghan Markle for cradling her bump need to get a LIFE! It’s her body, it is her baby, and she can cradle it as much as she wants.”

Meghan and Prince Harry are expecting their first child next spring.
