Mel Gibson is a dad for the ninth time, welcoming a baby boy with his girlfriend, Rosalind Ross, on Friday in Los Angeles.
The couple named their little guy, who weighed 5 lbs. 5 oz., Lars Gerard. Lars is of Scandinavian origin, meaning, “person from Laurentum.”
His rep told People.com: “They’re thrilled and Lars is adorable. Their family is all around them and Mel is over the moon. They’re home and everybody is healthy and happy!”
While this is Rosalind’s first child, Mel is dad to seven children with his first wife, Robyn Moore: daughter Hannah and six sons, Edward, Christian, William, Louis, Milo and Thomas. Mel also has a daughter, Lucia, with ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.
