Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps is adding another bundle of joy to his family! Nicole Phelps, the wife of the 28-time Olympic Gold Medalist, officially confirmed the news in a celebratory post on Instagram commemorating the couple’s 7th wedding anniversary. “For those that are wondering… yes! we’re expecting our 4th Phelps in 2024.”

Prior to this announcement, Nicole had been seen with a baby bump attending events and pictured in photographs, even to her and Michael’s Instagram pages. However, neither of them officially shared the news. But, Nicole decided it was time to make things official. She did not reveal how far along she is or when exactly in 2024 baby number 4 is due to arrive.

Michael and the former Miss California USA share three sons together. Their first baby, son Boomer, arrived in May 2016, one month before the couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Tempe, Arizona. The couple went on to celebrate a big wedding on October 29, 2016 in Mexico, and it appears that’s the date they choose to celebrate their anniversary. In February 2018, their second son Beckett was born and Maverick, baby number 3, arrived in September 2019.

While the couple hbas been married for 7 years, they’ve been together for much longer. Michael and Nicole first met in 2007 and have been together for over 16 years. Last year, the Olympian gushed in an interview with TODAY about his wife and her unwavering support of him over the years. “For 15 years, Nicole has seen me go up and down. There’s no other person that would be able to support me like she has. She’s the glue that holds all of us together.”

Congratulations to Michael and Nicole on the news of their fourth baby!
