Singer-songwriter Michelle Branch has announced the arrival of her third child. The Everywhere singer and her husband Patrick Carney welcomed their second child together on a very special date: 2/2/2022! The couple has given their little one very special names.
Michelle and Patrick are the proud parents of a baby girl! They have chosen to name her Willie Jacquet Carney. “Welcome to the world, sweet Willie girl,” the Grammy Award Winner shared in her post. Michelle also revealed the inspiration for Willie’s moniker. “She’s named after Patrick’s grandmother Willie Madge and has my mother’s maiden name/my middle name. We’re so in love.”
Patrick shared the same image on his Instagram that Michelle posted. In his caption, he revealed a little bit more about Willie. “The stork came February 2 at 7:12 am and dropped off a baby girl for @michellebranch and I. Willie Jacquet Carney 7 pounds 5 ounces and 18 FEET HEIGHT. She’s named after my Grandmother Willie Madge Slate and Michelle’s mother’s maiden name, Jacquet.”
The couple announced in August they were growing their family by one more with a funny post that played into the common phrase “bun in the oven.” The news came just a few months after the “Goodbye to You” singer revealed she had suffered a miscarriage.
Michelle and the Black Keys drummer welcomed their first child together, a son named Rhys James, in August 2018. They tied the knot less than a year later in April 2019 at the Marigny Opera House in New Orleans. The Wreckers band member also has a 16-year-old daughter named Owen Isabelle, whom she shares with her ex-husband Teddy Landau.
