Country music star Sam Hunt is reportedly expecting his first child. The news of Sam and his wife Hannah Lee Fowler’s pregnancy broke in a rather unusual way: with divorce papers.
Last Friday, Hannah reportedly filed for divorce from the “House Party” singer. The court documents claimed that Sam was guilty of “inappropriate marital conduct” and “adultery.” The documents revealed Hannah’s pregnancy, that she was due in May, and that Hannah requested to receive alimony, child support, and primary custody of the child.
Luckily, it appears the couple’s relationship is on the mend. Hours after filing the paperwork, Hannah, who does not have an active presence on social media, withdrew the divorce complaint. Hannah requested the petition be “voluntarily nonsuited without prejudice,” which means that she can file for divorce again in the future. Sam has not publicly shared any information regarding the divorce filing or Hannah’s pregnancy.
Sam had previously opened up about starting a family with Hannah. Last July, the “Take Your Time” singer shared with KISS Country 99.9 Miami’s TC & Dina radio show that he and Hannah were getting serious about growing their family. “We’ve been talking about it for a while,” he shared, “but we’ve really started thinking about it seriously here these past few months, so that’s on the agenda right now. And I’m hoping that we’ll have some good news sooner than later.”
Sam and Hannah have been together on and off for 14 years. The couple became engaged in January of 2017 and tied the knot a few months later in Georgia with an intimate ceremony. Congratulations to Sam and Hannah on growing their family. We wish them lots of love as they prepare to become parents.
